Privacy Policy

CLEAN BEST GROUP PTY LTD(“Clean Best”, “we”, “us”) provides commercial and residential cleaning across Sydney and New South Wales. We respect your privacy and we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy sets out what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we may share it with, how we keep it secure, and how you can access it, correct it or complain about the way we have handled it. It applies to this website at cleanbest-commercialcleaning-sydney.com.au and to every enquiry, quote and cleaning job we carry out.
What we collect
We collect only what we reasonably need in order to quote for cleaning work, perform it, invoice for it and support you afterwards. Depending on how you deal with us, that may include:
- Your name, the business or property name, your email address, your phone number, and the address of the premises to be cleaned.
- What you tell us about the site — floor area, surfaces, amenities, access and alarm arrangements, building management requirements, cleaning frequency and any particular requirements you have.
- Records of our dealings with you: quotes, scopes of works, schedules, supervisor audit notes, complaints and how they were resolved.
- Billing information such as your invoicing contact, ABN and payment records. We do not store full credit card numbers on our systems.
- For job applicants and cleaners: identity and work-rights documents, National Police Check results, Working with Children Check details where the role requires one, qualifications, references, and payroll and superannuation information.
- Technical information collected automatically when you visit this website, such as browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
We do not collect sensitive information — health information, for example — unless it is directly relevant to the service, such as a chemical sensitivity you ask us to work around, and then only with your consent.
How we collect it
Most of it comes directly from you: when you call 1300 494 983, email hello@cleanbestgroup.com.au, complete the quote form on this website, meet us for a walkthrough, or deal with your supervisor while a job is running. We may also collect information from a building manager, strata committee or managing agent where they are arranging the cleaning on your behalf, and from referees and screening providers when we recruit cleaners.
This website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and, where enabled, for analytics that tell us which pages people read and how they found us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some functionality may be reduced.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a scope of works and a quote.
- To roster and deliver the cleaning, including giving the cleaner assigned to your premises the access instructions they need to get in and secure the site.
- To supervise and audit the work, investigate complaints, and put things right.
- To invoice you and keep proper financial records.
- To meet our legal, insurance, work health and safety, and employment obligations.
- To improve our services and, where we are permitted to, to send you information about them. Every marketing message carries an unsubscribe option and we act on it promptly.
Who we disclose it to
We do not sell personal information, and we do not rent or trade contact lists. We may disclose your information to:
- Our cleaners and supervisors, so that they can access and service your premises.
- Service providers who help us run the business — accounting, payroll, email, scheduling and website hosting — under obligations of confidentiality.
- Your building manager, strata committee, managing agent or landlord where they are a party to the cleaning arrangement, or where the building requires our insurance certificates and inductions to be lodged with them.
- Our insurers and professional advisers, where relevant.
- Government bodies, courts or regulators where we are required or authorised by law to do so.
Some of our service providers store data on servers located outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How we store and protect it
Personal information is held in our business systems and, where records are kept on paper, at our office at 54 Columbia Rd, Seven Hills NSW 2147. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls so staff see only what their role requires, secure storage of site access details such as alarm codes, keys and passes, and confidentiality obligations on every cleaner and supervisor.
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires. When it is no longer needed we destroy it or de-identify it. Keys, passes and access codes are returned to you when an arrangement ends.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy of it, and you can ask us to correct anything inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information. If we refuse a request — which is rare, and only where the law allows or requires it — we will tell you why in writing and explain how to complain about that decision.
Data breaches
If we become aware of a data breach likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose personal information we hold, we will investigate promptly, notify the affected individuals, and report it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first. Email hello@cleanbestgroup.com.au or call 1300 494 983 with the details, and we will acknowledge the complaint, investigate it and give you a written response, normally within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the independent privacy regulator in Australia. Their contact details are published at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy from time to time and may update it as our services, systems or legal obligations change. The current version is always published on this page with the date it was last updated at the top.
